Quick Overview
ISRC, also known as the International Studies Residential College, is part of South Area and resides near The Rock, a staple of NU’s campus. It is often associated with its sister building: East Fairchild, the Communications Residential College. ISRC is just a few minutes from the lake and in the heart of South Campus. Right outside our doors are buildings like Locy, Kresge, and University Hall, which host many of the humanities and freshmen-friendly courses.
Home to around 100 students, West Fairchild is composed of mostly incoming freshmen. The building contains double and single-style rooms. There are also gender-neutral bathrooms on the second floor, basement, and main lounge.
We host weekly events for our residents and many outings throughout the year. These events range from catered snacks to movies to creative opportunities. One of the biggest events ISRC attends is the Residential College Formal, where students attend an elegant social with all the other residential college residents on campus. Another big event to look forward to is the annual International Dinner, where every attendee brings a meal of their choice to share with everyone.
ISRC offers one of the best communities on campus and an excited executive board full of eager students with loving personalities. We are known for giving our all in everything we do, always bringing the full pineapple spirit to campus!
