It is intended for public health professionals, communicators, advocates and anyone else who wishes to create pro-vaccine content to motivate people to vaccinate themselves and their entourage.
Vaccine Misinformation Management Guide
Misinformation threatens the success of vaccination programs across the world. Unicef, First Draft, Yale Institute for Global Health, and PGP (The Public Good Projects) have partnered to create the Vaccine Misinformation Management Field Guide. This guide aims to help organizations to address the global infodemic through the development of strategic and well-coordinated national action plans to rapidly counter vaccine misinformation and build demand for vaccination that are informed by social listening.
Strategies for Building Confidence in the COVID-19 Vaccines (Feburary 2021)
Prepared by The National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine, this rapid expert consultation highlights overall strategies for engaging the public and building community trust, as well as strategies focused specifically on communicating effectively to ensure demand for and promote acceptance of the vaccines. These strategies are informed by five principles for effective risk communication:
- Do not wait.
- Be credible.
- Be clear.
- Express empathy and show respect.
- Acknowledge uncertainty and manage expectations.
