Kids Under 5 Can Now Get Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Unvaccinated People Are 11 Times More Likely To Die Of COVID-19

Unvaccinated people are 11 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than those who are fully vaccinated, new research has found, bolstering evidence that the inoculations continue to provide powerful protection, even against the delta variant. The latest studies from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released on Friday also found that vaccinated people were nearly five times less likely to get infected and 10 times less likely to get so sick they ended up in the hospital. When You've Been Fully Vaccinated: Updated CDC Guidelines

Two weeks after your final vaccine dose you will be able to resume many everyday activities that are less safe for unvaccinated people.

  • If you are fully vaccinated, you can participate in many of the activities that you did before the pandemic.
  • If you are in an area of substantial or high transmission the CDC recommends wearing a mask indoors in public in order to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others.
