This mini-symposium will address a broad spectrum of fundamental problems in both solid and fluent media and their interaction at atomistic, continuum or multiple spatial/temporal scales through modeling, simulation, and testing. In particular, this mini-symposium is devoted to computational and experimental investigations of multiscale and/or multiphysics problems in tissue mechanics, 2D materials, coarse-grained molecular dynamics, non-classical continuum mechanics, thermomechanical-electromagnetic coupling, contact mechanics, triboelectricity, and turbulence. Contributions from researchers in the fields of solid/fluid mechanics, material sciences/engineering are cordially invited.
