Nearly every product or commodity in use is constituted and/or derived from granular materials through mining, agriculture, and/or chemical processing. As ubiquitous constituents of industrial processes as well as geophysical phenomena, these materials exhibit behaviors ranging from rapid, collision-dominated flows to quasi-static deformations. This symposium is focused on flowing bulk solids across diverse time and length scales, including the transition of granular systems from a solid to fluid-like state, and dynamical systems modeling approaches. Contributions on the various aspects of this topic are welcome.
