Drops and bubbles are of fundamental importance for many natural phenomena and for various industrial processes. The field of drops and bubbles has received tremendous attention in the past decades. This holds both for the fundamental understanding of interfacial fluid mechanics and for the applications in industry. The aim of the present section is to discuss the latest developments on the field of drops, bubbles, microfluidics, and the related topics on interfacial fluid mechanics, and to bridge the gap between the fundamental research and potential applications.
