The Club

The officers’ and enlisted men’s clubs served as refuges where staff could unwind by having a drink, playing pool, listening to the jukebox, or socializing with colleagues. Occasionally dances and lectures were held in these venues. In Naples where the 12th General Hospital was not situated at a particular site, members of the Unit used restaurants as places to congregate as well as the clubhouses of the units to which they were temporarily assigned.
