A recent publication in The Journal of Organic Chemistry from the group describes our continued efforts to explore oxidative coupling of ketones to prepare compounds of value for applications in total synthesis. We also reported a new study in The Journal of the American Chemical Society describing the influence of chirality on the surface tension of water droplets and its possible role in atmospheric processes like cloud formation.
