Looking Back on Commencement 2017

The Northwestern Class of 2017 graduated on June 16, 2017 as friends and family gathered at Ryan Field to celebrate their achievement. Tennis legend and activist Billie Jean King addressed the class as 2017’s Commencement Speaker and encouraged the graduates to give back throughout their lives. Commencement concluded smoothly as graduates celebrated with their loved ones and began a new chapter in their lives.

The Featured Students of Commencement 2017

Northwestern’s 159th Commencement ceremony will be held on June 16, 2017, at Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois. As part of the Commencement ceremony, three students from the class of 2017 were chosen for important speaking roles this year. Carl Alexander, Rocio Mendez-Rozo, and Jacob Rosenblum will all have the opportunity to perform or speak in front of their graduating class in their Commencement roles.

Class of 2014 Finding Success After Graduation

More than 90 percent of Northwestern University’s Class of 2014 graduates were engaged in professional pursuits six months after graduation, according to a University study.

As members of the Class of 2015 prepare for commencement, they can be encouraged that more than 60 percent of last year’s graduates were employed full time with an average starting salary of more than $52,000.
