Annette D’Onofrio, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics. She joined the faculty in Linguistics at Northwestern in 2016 after receiving her PhD from Stanford University. Graduate students:
Jaime Benheim is a third-year PhD student with research interests in sociophonetics and sociolinguistic cognition. She is especially interested how individuals produce and perceive socially meaningful links between linguistic features and other aspects of identity, like place and ethnic identity.

Amelia Stecker is a third-year PhD student who is interested in stylistic variation and social evaluations of language. Specifically, she explores the ways in listeners perceive sociolinguistic performances of gender.
