Note: These errors mostly refer to the original Prentice Hall 1993 version of the book, which is now out of print. These were corrected in the reprinted book which is available at Dover, 2002 ISBN 0-486-42003-5. One error in the reprinted book is described in the pdf file.

Here is a revision to problem 7.3b in the “Introduction to” book in which the trial function is correctly evaluated.  I thank Frank Rioux (College of St. Benedict & St. John’s University) for providing this.
