Wilmer Wilson IV is an interdisciplinary artist working in Philadelphia, PA. He tries to perceive the residual film of marginal everyday experience, and refasten it together to accrue presence. These film-like layers of objects, images, and bodily states vacillate between being spread thin and pulled together. Through this vacillation he is interrogating the space between subject and object. Wilson recently performed Portrait with Hydrogen Peroxide Strips at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC.
