Join us this Wednesday, November 9th, 4pm, at the Kaplan Institute (Kresge 2-350) for an extraordinary installation of the Ordinary Media workshop. In our last formal presentation of the fall, we could not be more delighted to host Tung-Hui Hu, a former network engineer, currently working as Assistant Professor of English at the University of Michigan and the recipient of a 2015 NEA literature fellowship.
Hu’s study of network culture, A Prehistory of the Cloud, was recently reprinted in paperback by the MIT Press; here are three reviews from The Guardian (short), Critical Inquiry (medium), and The New Yorker (long), as well as an interview with Rhizome on it. He’s working on a new book of poems on forests and a scholarly book on lethargy, of which we’ll learn more on Wednesday!
