Meet the Officers
Our Executive Board is the driving force behind our chapter's success, diligently organizing events and initiatives that align with our mission. Their dedication and leadership make it possible for us to provide valuable opportunities and resources to our members. Meet the exceptional individuals who lead our chapter:
Pantira Ketkaew, Co-President
Pantira Ketkaew is a third-year IEMS student originally from Thailand and now based in Chicago. As a first-generation, low-income woman of color in engineering, she is passionate about becoming a math secondary teacher to inspire students who may not see themselves represented in STEM. In Pantira’s role at IISE, she drives project management initiatives, coordinates with the Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences department, writes grant proposals, and oversees the creation and maintenance of this website. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Pantira enjoys gardening, kayaking, reading, shrimp/snail keeping, and birding.
Lucy Gallun, Co-President
Lucy is a senior at Northwestern University studying Industrial Engineering specializing in data analytics, operations engineering, and systems modeling. Other interests include the fashion industry, Formula 1 racing, running, and crosswords.
Ana Kim, Community Engagement Chair
Ana Kim is a sophomore majoring in Industrial Engineering from Naperville, Illinois. As a member of IISE, she’ll be organizing round tables with professors and networking opportunities for Industrial Engineering students. She looks forward to expanding the network of the IE department. Outside of IISE, you’ll find her dancing, thrifting, and being on the beach as much as possible.
Evrim Agca, Outreach Chair
Evrim Agca is a sophomore from Columbia, Missouri double majoring in industrial engineering and economics. As the outreach chair, he helps plan the organization’s presence at club fairs, reaches out to new IEMS students, and handles recruitment. As an IEMS major, Evrim is particularly interested in using data driven approaches to guide monetary and social policy. Apart from this, he enjoys playing guitar in his band.
Janice Chao, Marketing Chair
Janice Chao is a sophomore from New Jersey majoring in Industrial Engineering and Math. IISE has allowed her to make incredible connections with faculty and professionals throughout the industry. Janice’s professional interests lie in data science and quantitative finance, but in her free time, she loves going to the beach and reading.
Mark Ruiz, Co-President (Graduated Fall '24)
Mark is a fourth-year student at Northwestern University, majoring in Industrial Engineering, pursuing a concurrent master’s in Computer Science, and having completed a certificate in Managerial Analytics through the Kellogg School of Management. Mark’s passion lies in harnessing data-driven insights to enhance processes and create tangible value.
