Jiao-Jing has been a Microsurgeon since 1995.  She is skillful in rat and mouse organ transplantation including skin, heart, kidney, small bowel, spleen and aorta as well as islet transplantation.

Shuling Han, MD, PhD

Research Associate and Microsurgeon

Shuling is very skilled with microsurgery procedures such as lung, heart, and limb transplantation, acute kidney injury (AKI), carotid injury, ischemic reperfusion injury (IRI), and more. Additionally, Shuling is familiar with laboratory techniques such as RT-PCR, Western blot, co-immunoprecipitation, cell culture, and many others.

Luke has been a research associate with the Comprehensive Transplant Center since 2018. Previously, he obtained his Master of Science from Northern Michigan University. Luke has extensive experience with a broad range of scientific techniques, data analysis, and animal surgeries.

Xin Zheng

Dr. Zheng, a transplant surgeon, is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Comprehensive Transplant Center’s Microsurgery Core. He has a strong background in clinical kidney transplant experience and excellent expertise in molecular biology and cell biology. He is also skilled at minor animal surgeries, including mouse or rat skin, heart, and kidney transplantation.

Longhui Qiu received his medical degree from China and worked in our laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow between 2016 and 2019. He is now working at University of California, San Francisco as a research specialist.

Feibo Zheng, M.D, was a postdoctoral fellow from September,2017 to August,2019 in Microsurgery Core. During postdoctoral period, he assumed two projects, and was committed to investigating the immune tolerance of limb transplant in rats and skin transplant in mice. He was specialized in developing rodent animal model of limb transplantation and skin transplantation.
Presently He works as a attending physician in surgery department, East District of Tianjin First Central Hospital, China. He majors in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, especially in the clinical and basic research on pancreatitis.

Xin Kang
M.D., chief physician, professor, graduate study supervisor.
Executive Director of Animal Injury Treatment Branch of China Association for Disaster & Emergency Rescue Medicine (CADERM) and chairman of Marine Animal Injury Committee ; Member of International Society for Experimental Microsurgery (ISEM).
At present, He is working in the department of wound repair and emergency department of Zhongshan Hospital of Dalian University in China, specializes in the surgical treatment of traumatic and acute abdominal injuries and the treatment of refractory wounds. He, as a visiting scholar and postdoctoral fellow, trained for liver and heart transplants of animals at the Microsurgery Core at Northwestern University from January 2015 to April 2016. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and 10 monographs. He has been granted 3 Chinese utility patents.
