Project Synopsis:
Students worked to support the Food for the Body & Spirit Turkey Giveaway; where participating locations gave away turkeys and other foods in disenfranchised communities throughout Chicagoland. Students helped make a printable brochure that showed where locations for the food giveaways were located, as well as an interactive map that let people put in their address and be directed to the nearest food giveaway location. Students also made maps of socioeconomic disparities in the Chicagoland region to help the organization understand where other potential outreach and events could be planned.
