Founded in 2016, the mission of the Labor & Employment Law Society is to promote awareness of, offer informative events about, and provide professional development opportunities related to the fields of labor and employment law.
We provide a forum for students interested in the field to discuss topics such as employment discrimination, workplace privacy protections, whistle-blowing, sexual harassment, collective bargaining agreements, employee handbooks/manuals, representing employee/union vs. management, wage & hour disputes, retaliation, immigrant workers and others.
Our purpose is to inform students of the real-world complexities of practicing labor and employment law, maximize employment and internship opportunities through cultivating relationships with Northwestern Pritzker Law alumni and other practitioners, and build community among Northwestern Law students interested in pursuing these practice areas.
