Congratulations to Stephen Lillington for being selected as a finalist for the Beckman Scholars program. This is Northwestern’s first year participating in the Beckman program, and Stephen is one of four finalists.

The Tyo lab hosted , Lina Luu, a recent Macalester College graduate, and Sebastian Sak, who will attend Tufts University in Fall 2016.  Lina and Sebastian worked for 6 weeks understanding the parameters of DNA uptake by an Acinetobacter bacterium.

Congratulations to Dr. Pertusi, the latest graduate of the Tyo Lab!  Below, he is rocking the hood at his June 17th Commencement.  Dante started his new position at Merck this spring.

The Management for Scientists and Engineers certificate program is offered by the Graduate School in partnership with the Kellogg School of Management to provide post-candidacy doctoral students with the opportunity to learn business and leadership skills from Kellogg Faculty.  Alexandra was selected to participate in the 2016 course.  Congratulations!
