We are a new lab at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Our research focuses on advancing our understanding of the brain through innovative neurotechnologies. We are developing tools and methods for large-scale, in vivo imaging & recording of fast brain circuit dynamics, and applying these tools to study the neural mechanisms underlying behavior. Our goal is to expand our understanding of cognition and intelligence, provide a foundation for computational models of biological intelligence, and enable technologies to treat brain disorders and other complex diseases
