Research projects are ongoing in many different areas of Biomedical and Health Informatics:

  • The Chicago Area Patient Centered Outcomes Research Network (CAPriCORN) has built a city-wide system of electronic health record data-sharing. CAPriCORN partners with healthcare and research institutions, patients, patient advocates, clinicians, community-based organizations (CBOs) and non-profits to enable and deliver patient-centered clinical research.
  • The PROMIS project is developing tools to measure patient reported outcomes.
