Fact Sheet: Adolescent (13-19 Years Old) Drug Overdose Deaths in Illinois: 2019–2022

Between 2019 and 2022, we recorded 150 unintentional overdose deaths among youths aged 13 to 19 in the Illinois State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS). The average age of these decedents was 18 years (S.D. +1.2 years).
