Dr. Eva Bosbach and her colleague from the University of Cologne, Moritz Lohmann, discussed how NU students can apply for graduate school (Masters or PhD) in Germany and what to expect once they’re there. American Friends of Alexander von Humboldt Panel

Jessica Hamilton, CFRE Vice President of Advancement of the AFAvH, discussed the foundations’ various sponsorship programs, fellowships, and awards. Two distinguished Northwestern scholars and fellowship recipients –  Professor Randall Snurr and Professor Erica Weitzman – described their application process and experience abroad as Humboldtians while on their fellowships.

Engineering the Future … in Germany!

 

Panelists discussed the various ways to find STEM internships in Germany. Panelists included Oliver Pape from the German Aerospace Center (DLR); Stephen Hill from the Northwestern Office of Fellowships, Matthias Neureiter from Cultural Vistas, who discussed their “Intern in Germany Program” (IGP); Starra Priestaf, Assistant Director of the McCormick Engineering Career Development; and Jessica Fetridge, who discussed Northwestern’s TUM (Technische Universität München) exchange program.
