Dr. David Gate is the Director of the Abrams Research Center on Neurogenomics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where his laboratory is contributing to our understanding of neuroinflammation in neurodegenerative diseases. Leveraging cutting-edge genomics and transcriptomics technologies, his team uncovers critical molecular mechanisms driving Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). A key focus of the lab is investigating immune responses to emerging clinical trial therapies, with the ultimate goal of harnessing the immune system to develop novel strategies that combat neurodegeneration and improve patient outcomes.
