A full-time Postdoctoral research fellowship position is available immediately in Dr. David’s laboratory at Northwestern University – Division of Nephrology and Hypertension and Center for Translational Metabolism and Health. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work in the broad areas of bone and mineral metabolism, FGF23 regulation and function, cardiology, nephrology and immunology. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment in the Chicago downtown medical campus and a highly collaborative research team led by a principal investigator supported by grants from National Institutes of Health and from industry.
Applicants must hold a PhD. or equivalent degree with expertise broadly relevant to the research areas. Prior experience with mouse genetics, cell and molecular biology, cell signaling, protein analysis, immunology, nephrology, cardiology, bone biology or a related field is preferred. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills evidenced by a record of research publications and presentations, and must be self-driven with the ability to work in a team environment. The position requires excellent organizational skills and research independence. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of their project, possibly leading Ph.D. students, managing projects and generating data, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at conferences.
