DAEiNA 2024 at Kellogg

The Annual DAEiNA meeting is scheduled for the Global Hub at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, on April 26-27. As usual, there will be a welcome dinner organized for those who arrive in time for that on Friday evening, but there will then be a full program on Saturday, concluding with dinner.

Conference Schedule

The organization is otherwise as in the past … as noted, Kellogg will provide dinner Friday (to those who arrive by then) and Saturday (the conference dinner), along with breakfast and lunch on Saturday. All scholarly activities are planned to take place in our beautiful Global Hub facility, located on the Northwestern Campus in Evanston, right next to Lake Michigan. We will provide information regarding local hotels as well as transportation options to and from O’Hare airport on this website soon. Unfortunately, we cannot cover transportation and lodging costs.

Finally, let me mention a scheduled public policy event on Thursday, April 25, 4:00-5:30pm, at the Global Hub, featuring Gita Gopinath, the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She has recently been heavily cited in the U.S. media related to the IMF disbursement of funds for Argentina. If you arrive one day early, you should be able to attend this event, where Gopinath will be in conversation with our own Larry Christiano. At this stage, only two keynote speakers are confirmed: Peter Reinhard Hansen, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and Rasmus Lentz, University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Accommodations

Attendees of the conference will be responsible for paying for their own accommodations. A hotel block at the Hilton Orrington ($189/night) will be made available to attendees on a first-come-first-serve basis. Rooms at the Orrington can be booked by following this link with group code 91A.

Meals will be provided by the conference organizers, including dinners on Friday and Saturday night at local Evanston restaurants (still to be determined). Meals will also be provided at the Kellogg Global Hub during the Saturday’s programing.
