“We found a super tasty sushi and hibachi place after I had led my friend group to an Italian place that no longer existed. It was one of my best friend’s birthday, and as such I wanted the dinner to be perfect. Despite the Italian place being disappointing, the hibachi place was an instant hit, with sweet wait staff and delicious food. It was so good that we went back the very next night to show more friends the delicious food. We love Todoroki hibachi and sushi!” –Amelia P., Summer ’23 CPP

“June 27th was my new friend Anna’s birthday. A group of us, already best friends, planned a dinner. We found an Italian place online, so we followed google maps and walked downtown Evanston. At first, to our disappointment, we never found the Italian place. It must not exist. This ended up not being a bad thing, though, because it led us to Todoroki, a hibachi place we decided we’d try because it looked great. We enjoyed a fantastic meal on the non-hibachi side of the restaurant. We were too envious of the other side of the restaurant, and the food was too good that the very next day, we came back. 10/10 recommend.” –Elsa V., Summer ’23 CPP

“Easily my favorite campus location is just after you walk through the arch; there’s a path with plants on either side, just enough to make it feel slightly secluded, but not enough that its actually a tunnel, and you can see the spires of all of the buildings poking up into the sky, and every time I walked through there I just felt a little bit calmer and more relaxed. Just something about how all of the elements of it fit together was very peaceful.” –Henry W., Summer ’23 CPP

“During our time at Northwestern, my friends and I were on the hunt for the best food in Evanston. We searched up and down, left to right for the daily dinner spot. After day 6, we struck gold. Buffalo Joe’s provided the ultimate wings and chips (a.k.a fries) combo. The perfect spice that didn’t burn your taste buds off, but rather left you salivating for the next wing. The ideal waffle fries that were crunchy on the outside, with fluff to compliment it on the inside. After discovering Buffalo Joe’s, my friends and I never looked back.” –Christoph N., Summer ’23 CPP
