Smoothie (Licuado or batido in Latinoamerica countries)
When I was little, my mom used to prepare for us delicious smoothies. On one hand because they were healthy, and on the other hand “soft drinks” were very expensive. I remember I did not drink a Coke until I was 10 years old, and was at my aunt’s home.

Ingredients
- 1 whole Watermelon/Melon/Papaya (medium or big)
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of ice cubes
Tools
- 1 electric blender
- 4-6 cups
Steps to prepare the drink
- Cut the fruit in slices.
- Peel each slice.
- Cut them in pieces of 4 inches.
- Put them in the blender.
- Turn on the blender and blend the fruit.
- Add slowly the ice cubes.
- Add the water.
Notes
- You can use any other fruit such mango, pineapple, etc.
- When I do the pineapple smoothie I add couple of mint leaves.
