Frozen Cake
This is an easy dessert to make because you don’t need an oven and you can use any kind of cookies!
Skill Level: Easy/Medium
Serving Amount: 2 rolls
Time to Prepare 00:30 (to prepare) and at least 2 hours (to freeze it)
Ingredients
- 3 or 4 bars of Chocolate for baking or cooking, cut in small pieces
- 2 packages of Kedem, Goya Maria Cookies or any tea biscuits (not sandwich cookies), crushed
- 1/4 cup of Water, room temperature (for the cooking)
- 1 cup of Water (for cutting the cake)
- 1/2 cup of Walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup of dry Raisins
Tools
- 1 medium wooden spoon
- 2 Aluminum foil sheets
- 1 Sharp knife
- 1 cutting board
- 1 plate to serve
Steps to prepare the cake
- Melt the chocolate with water over medium heat.
- After it melts, add the cookies to the chocolate.
- If you see that it needs water, add it a little more.
- Add the walnuts and the raisins and stir all of the ingredients together with the wooden spoon
- Take one of the Aluminum foil sheets and add two full wooden spoons of the mix, roll the mix up in the sheet, close it and let it cool for half an hour.
- Repeat the process with the rest of the mix.
- Place the rolls in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
Steps to cut the cake
- Boil one cup of water, on low heat
- Take a sharp knife and submerge it into the hot water
- Place the frozen cake roll over the cutting board and slice the cake.
- After each slice, you need to submerge the knife into the hot water.
Notes
- You can also use one bag of chocolate chips
- If you are allergic to nuts, do not add them to the recipe
- Instead of raisins, you can add craisins.
