Epigenetic Regulation of Stem Cell Maintenance and Tissue Differentiation
Our laboratory studies how stem cells maintain their fate and how tissue terminal differentiation is activated. Leveraging human skin as a research platform, we are currently investigating the roles of epigenetic regulators including chromatin remodeling complexes and histone modifiers. The long term goal of the lab is to elucidate novel mechanisms underlying tissue regeneration, and to provide new insights into human disease therapies.
