Dr. Jennifer Cole (she/her)
Jennifer is the Assistant Chair and Associate Professor of Instruction in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University and the Director of Northwestern Center for Engineering Education Research. She is involved in DEI initiatives through American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). Her research is in engineering education, specifically in engineering design. Major research efforts have included understanding how students make decisions in design, how students develop mathematical models, and how to incorporate social justice contexts in engineering design and problem solving.

Dr. Alexis N. Prybutok (she/her)
Alex earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University in 2022. Her research interests focus on computational modeling of cell-based therapies in solid tumors and integrating anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion into chemical engineering classrooms. She is now an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at University of Washington as of Fall 2022.

Ayinoluwa Abegunde (she/her)
Ayin earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University in 2022. She has an avid interest in the personal care industry, especially hair care, and fostering anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion into the chemical engineering curriculum.
Kenzie M. Sanroman Gutierrez (she/her)
Kenzie earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University in 2022. Her research interests entail electrocatalysis, energy storage, environmental justice, and incorporating social justice and anti-racism into chemical engineering curriculum.
Lauren Simitz (she/her)
Lauren earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering and B.S. in Earth & Planetary Science from Northwestern University in 2021. Now a Ph.D. candidate in Stanford’s Aeronautics & Astronautics department, she continues similar work. Her passions span research in thermofluids, clean energy, and propulsion, as well as advocacy for environmental and social justice and expanding STEM education and opportunities for underserved communities.
Chloé Archuleta (she/her)
Chloé is a Chemical Engineering Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University. She focuses on undergraduate and graduate integration of ARDEI topics in both research and curriculum. Her research addresses complex matrix inhibition in human samples for point-of-care biosensing of small molecules and nucleic acids through computational modeling. Additionally, she aims to improve the accessibility of these biosensors for underrepresented communities affected by environmental toxins.
