Additive manufacturing (AM) is a rapidly evolving field for the fabrication of complex 3D components in a layer-by-layer fashion. However, much is still not known about the mechanics of the materials fabricated using this method. This symposium will solicit talks on the mechanics of additively manufactured materials, including metals, polymers, and composites. Of particular interest are presentations that describe experimental and/or computational approaches used to identify the links among processing, structure, and mechanical properties in additively manufactured materials.
