This symposium will focus on analytical and computational methods for the development of multibody system (MBS) formulations and algorithms. papers on both rigid and flexible body dynamics will be considered. Topics of particular interest are finite element formulations, large rotation and deformation problems, new methods for formulating the MBS dynamic equations, kinematic and geometric description of motion, numerical techniques and computational algorithms for MBS analysis, locking solution problems, MBS motion stability, among others.
