Ocean hydrodynamics plays a dominant role in coastal communities, shipping routes and offshore industry. Ocean waves are also a source of ubiquitous signals in remote sensing and seismic data. This symposium will be devoted to new developments in observations, computations and modeling of ocean waves and their applications. The objective of this session is to promote the interaction among researchers engaged in this field and the cross-fertilization of ideas.
Specific topics include:
— Surface and internal waves.
— Coastal hazards: storm surge and Tsunami.
— Wave loads on structures and fluid-structure interactions.
— Ocean, wind and wave energy utilization.
— Rogue waves.
Keywords: environment, fluid mechanics
