Biography:
I am originally from New Mexico. My mother’s family built the Hacienda de los Martínez in Taos in 1804, which is now on the National Register of Historic Places. I was an undergraduate at the University of Iowa before earning my Ph.D. in Philosophy at Brown University while holding a Ford Foundation Fellowship. I am a professor at Northwestern University, where I have been on the faculty since 2007. I also serve as a Special Assistant to the Provost.
