Unexpected Thermo-Thickening Behavior of Polyelectrolyte Complex Suspensions
(June, 2019)
My favorite work during my PhD goes to Macromolecules. The design is extremely simple and the material property is very surprising. Check this out! Thermothickening Behavior of Self-Stabilized Colloids Formed from Associating Polymers, Macromolecules, 52 (13), 4926-4933 (2019)
Defended!
(May, 2019)
I defended my PhD thesis, entitled “Viscoelasticity and Fracture of Polyelectrolyte Gels and Suspensions“, May 9th. So many thanks to my adviser, committee members, group members, collaborators, funding supports, and my friends!
Presenting in MRSEC-SPIE Seminar Series at Northwestern
(February, 2019)
I was honored to present the general rule of quantifying viscoelastic properties and the applications of polymer complexes in MRSEC-SPIE Seminar Series. Thanks for the kind invitation!
Sharing My Research and Life Experience with Students at HFUT
(October, 2018)
I was honored to give a talk to share my research and life experience with Prof. Ran’s students at Hefei University of Technology (HFUT). Back to 5 years ago, I was mentored by PhD student, Jin Ran, and she is a professor at HFUT now. Her patience, passion, and guidance, meant a lot to me. Best wishes to her life and her career.
Chicago Marathon 2018
(October, 2018)
I ran 26.2 miles in Chicago Marathon 2018 within 4 hours and 30 minutes. It was such a wonderful experience to see the whole city when running!
Back to School from Summer Internship!
(September, 2018)
I just finished my summer internship (June-September) at Tesla, and came back to Northwestern! It was a fantastic internship experience in California!
Peebles Graduate Research Award!
(March, 2018)
I presented my recent work in Peebles Awards Session in the Adhesion Society Annual Conference on Feb 27, 2018. Thanks to the Adhesion Society and Henkel company for organizing and supporting this session.
