Noah Jenkins is a composer and violinist from Oregon now living in Chicago. Much of his recent work takes an experimental approach to the exploration of drone, chamber music, psychoacoustic phenomena, and my own subjective experiences of listening and perception.
Current projects include a new evening-length work for string quartet and sax quartet, and studio albums of my music with Chicago musicians Riley Leitch (trombone) and Mabel Kwan (piano). Having earned degrees in composition and violin from the University of Oregon, Noah is currently a PhD candidate at Northwestern University studying composition with Hans Thomalla, Alex Mincek, and Jay Alan Yim.
