Events

Willard isn’t just a bunch of rooms and furniture. What makes us the best residential college out there is the quality of life in the Woo. We don’t just live here, each of us belongs to a fun and dynamic community. Our Social Chairs diligently plan the traditions we carry on with pride. Living in Willard is more than just a housing assignment; it’s a way of life.

Yearly Traditions

Each year, Willard’s Social Chairs plan an extravagant formal – a chance for Willardites to look their best while dancing the night away.

Each winter, Willard and Shepard duke it out in the Woo-Shep Olympics, including an eating contest, three-legged race, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, NU trivia, and other tests and tournaments.

Firesides are opportunities for students, professors, and outside speakers to share something that they know a lot about or are really interested in with the Wooshack community.

High Table gathers Faculty Fellows and Graduate Associates together with current and former Willard residents twice a week to enjoy lunch in the Allison Dining Hall.
