First Year Seminar: The Energetic and Explosive Universe
First-year seminar on multi-messenger astronomy and stellar explosions, the broader role of major scientific discoveries in society, and the impact of international collaborations. Discussion-based for 1st year undergraduate students.
First Year Seminar: The Diverse Origins of Modern Astrophysics
First-year discussion-based seminar surrounding the contributions of women to seminal discoveries in stellar astrophysics. We also explore our own biases and discuss how credit is assigned to discoveries. The purpose is to bring to light their contributions to the mainstream astronomy narrative.
