DeWayne is an outgoing, exuberant, loving, caring, generous, and grateful person. He believes in growth, education, community and unity. He didn’t believe himself to be an artist, however, he knows he possess power that makes him unique and believes that his power can and will spart some positive change in this world.

This piece is about EVERYONE having a perspective and having a voice that we all are entitled to. We should never allow anyone or anything to take that away from us. Most importantly we should never allow someone else to tell our stories for us. Who know you better than you?

I know my story, however, no one else want to see what I see. No one else want to hear what I have to say. No one want me to speak my mind. Although my ears and mouth have been sewn shut, I will continue to see the truth, speak the truth so my truth can be seen and heard.
