Ryan Hackler

I’m a graduate student under joint advisement between Richard Van Duyne and Peter Stair. I was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, where I also graduated from Western Washington University. There I studied Chemistry and Politics/Philosophy/Economics. I’m interested in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) of thin films and nanoparticles, while using surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) to study deposition mechanisms. I enjoy running, Netflix, watching/playing soccer, hiking (which isn’t a thing here), and philosophy.
