November 2nd 2012 – A new article by Nathan, Amber, and Nilam entitled “Near-Infrared Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (NIR-SERS) for the Identification of Eosin Y: Theoretical Calculations and Evaluation of Two Different Nanoplasmonic Substrates” has been accepted in the Journal of Physical Chemistry A.

October 12th 2012 – Our article on ultrahigh vacuum tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) made the cover of Nano Letters. Congratulations Nan, Jordan, Eddie, Matt, and Jon!

August 4th 2012 – Emilie is an author on a recently accepted Nano Letters Communication entitled “Plasmon-induced electric near-field enhanced coherent multiphoton photoelectron emission from individual, supported Ag nanocubes.” This is a collaborative effort between our group and Younan Xia from the Washington University Department of Biomedical Engineering, Laurence D. Marks from the Northwestern University Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and David J. Nesbitt from the University of Colorado Department of Chemistry.

May 11th 2012 – Emilie has two new papers out: “Plasmon Length: A Universal Parameter to Describe Size Effects in
Gold Nanoparticles” and “Correlating the Structure and Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance of
Single Silver Right Bipyramids.”  Great work, Emilie!

  • Group Members

    Professor Van Duyne has, in his career to date, advised a total of 87 graduate students and 47 postdoctoral fellows. Every year, Professor Van Duyne gives a talk to introduce new graduate students to our research. The 2017 seminar slides are available here.
