Originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, Jonathan is currently a first-year master’s student. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Southern Mississippi studying with Dr. Ben McIlwain. During his time as an undergraduate, he performed with several professional orchestras throughout Mississippi and Louisiana. Additionally, he has participated in the Sewanee, Miami, and Hot Springs Summer Music Festivals, Southeast Trombone Symposium, Pokorny Low Brass Seminar and Alessi Seminar. An avid fan of food, he is enjoying exploring the wide variety of culinary experiences the Chicago area has to offer.
