Chase Waterbury

Chase chose to play the trombone in fifth grade because he was horrible at viola. In his junior year of high school, Chase began studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music in the prestigious Young Artist Program. He had his solo debut with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra under the direction of Liza Grossman the same year.  While in Cleveland, Chase played in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra under the direction of Brett Mitchell and James Feddeck.

Chase has appeared with numerous orchestra including the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has also joined visiting artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Ben Folds, Twenty-One Pilots, Panic! At The Disco, Graham Nash, and others in concert. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2019 and currently attends the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where he studies with Timothy Higgins.
