Chris Lee, 19, is a second-year pursuing a degree in Tenor Trombone Performance. He is from Austin, Texas where he began learning the trombone in sixth grade. Before starting at Northwestern, Chris’s primary teachers were Alex Glen, Dr. Billy Gayman, and Dr. Nathaniel Brickens. While attending high school in the Austin area, Chris performed with the Texas Youth Wind Symphony and the TMEA All-State concert band. Over the past two summers, Chris participated in the Southeast Trombone Symposium and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute trombone workshop. Currently Chris studies with Michael Mulcahy, Randall Hawes, Timothy Higgins, Douglas Wright, and Christopher P. Davis. Chris has also had the privilege to work individually with Toby Oft, Colin Williams, Jeremy Wilson, Larry Zalkind, David Jackson, and Don Lucas. Outside of music, Chris enjoys running, hiking, and playing soccer.
