Program
Please visit the conference website to check the updated program and participant list. You can also find all the important announcements and information. Note that the conference time for American participants has changed due to the upcoming daylight time. Conference times are in Universal time (UT) and US Eastern time (EST). Please, make sure to double check your local time with respect to the UT.
Plenary Talks
Every day will be opened by a plenary session. Plenary talks will give a very broad point of view and are scheduled to be of a duration of 15 minutes. The pre-recorded plenary talks will be available in the following repository starting from Tuesday March 16.
We encourage you to watch the plenary talks and add questions for the speakers and morning Q&A session using the following document:
Plenary talks will also be played at the beginning of every day (2 plenary talks per day, 15 min each) at 10 AM EST / 2 PM UT and will be followed by a 30-minute live Q&A session, where participants will have a chance to ask questions to the plenary speakers.
Media Release Form
Every talk will be recorded. We will only post on the conference website talks based on the permission given by the speaker using the Media Release Form.
Talks
Contributed talks will be 10 minutes + 3 minutes questions. Please let us know if your assigned time is problematic and we will try to accommodate your schedule constraints. Of course, let us know if your plans have changed so that we will be able to give another researcher the opportunity to present his/her work.
Posters
Please, provide your single slide by replying to this email by March 17, so that we can create a collection of slides to be run by the chair during the poster session. Please let us know if your assigned time is problematic and we will try to accommodate your schedule constraints. Of course, let us know if your plans have changed.
Feel free to prepare both the poster pdf (which will later be accessible by clicking on your name in the conference webpage) and (if you like) an accompanying slide to present during the poster session. Feel free to share both in the relative Slack channel!
Discussions
The Slack channel has various sub-channels where participants can post their questions and comments, which we encourage to use. We will have a 30-minute Q&A session following the plenary talks, where participants will have a chance to ask questions to the plenary speakers. Every day will be closed by two parallel 45-minute discussions. Every participant is highly encouraged to join and actively contribute to the discussion.
Zoom and Slack
A reminder that the meeting will be held via Zoom and Slack. We advise all participants to ensure that your installations are up-to-date to ensure that features such as breakout rooms and captioning are functional. Please do not share the zoom password or slack invitation or post them publicly. If you have colleagues who would like to attend, please ask them to register first at the conference website.

Plenary Talks
Every day will be open by a plenary session. Plenary talks will give a very broad point of view for the benefit of our participants with diverse research backgrounds. All the plenary talks are scheduled to be of a duration of 15 minutes and will be made available on the conference website a few days before the beginning of the conference for the benefit of the Trendy-3 community. They will be played at the beginning of every day (2 plenary talks per day, 15 min each) at 9 AM EST / 2 PM UT and will be followed by a 30-minute live Q&A session, where participants will have a chance to ask questions to the plenary speakers. You can submit a question in advance by using the google document you will find in the conference website.
Talks
Due to time constraints and the virtual nature of the meeting, only a limited number of participants has been selected for a contributed talk. As tradition in the Trendy series, we have generally preferred to give young researchers the chance to talk. In a moment where the global pandemic is preventing young scientists from disseminating their science, it felt appropriate to give them the place and time to introduce their research. All the other participants will have the chance to introduce their work during the poster sessions and will have the opportunity to actively discuss Trendy-3 topics during the dedicated discussion sessions. Contributed talks will be 10 minutes + 3 minutes questions. Please let us know if your assigned time is problematic and we will try to accommodate your schedule constraints. Of course, let us know if your plans have changed so that we will be able to give another researcher the opportunity to present his/her work. We strongly prefer live talks, but we understand that this could be challenging for participants in Asia and Australia. Therefore, we offer these participants the chance to pre-record their talk, which will then be played by the chair during the designed time spot. Questions will follow on the Slack channel.
Posters
We have a poster session every day, where participants will have the chance to introduce their poster with a single slide in ~1 min. Feel free to post your poster in the dedicated channel (poster-session-1/2/3/4) in the conference Slack. Please, provide your single slide by replying to this email by March 17, so that we can create a collection of slides to be run by the chair during the poster session. Please let us know if your assigned time is problematic and we will try to accommodate your schedule constraints. Of course, let us know if your plans have changed.
Discussions
Plenty of time will be dedicated to fruitful discussions and interactions among the participants. The Slack channel has various channels where participants can post their questions and comments. We will have a 30-minute Q&A session following the plenary talks, where participants will have a chance to ask questions to the plenary speakers. Every day will be closed by two parallel 45-minute discussions. Every participant is highly encouraged to join and actively contribute to the discussion.
