Asia Tour 2016

During Spring Break 2016, we launched our first Asia Tour, during which we visited schools and colleges in Beijing, Seoul and Hong Kong for 10 days.

With Seoul, Beijing, and Hong Kong as our destinations, the tour was a cultural exchange between our group and global audiences through our mutual love of music. We hosted educational workshops and performances at local high schools and universities, teaching students not only about music, but also about the college experience.

As an Asian American a cappella group, one of Treblemakers’ key goals is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western cultures. An Asia Tour has always been a priority for the group to achieve that goal. Music has the unique ability to connect people from various walks of life, and a cappella is especially powerful, as we use only our voices to make music together. We were very excited to perform along side with other a acappella groups when we were in Beijing to introduce this musical form, which was fairly new to the East Asian audience.

The tour was from  March 16 to 26, 2016 during spring break. We were very happy that the tour was a success.

We are really grateful for the support from alumni, family and friends to help us accomplish a very immersive and meaningful experience for every member of the group as well as the audience and schools we visited. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
