Welcome to Professor Tao Sun’s lab
what we study
Better manufacturing technologies via fundamental understanding
Our team investigates fundamental issues in advanced manufacturing processes using state-of-the-art in situ and ex situ characterization techniques.
Currently, we focus on understanding energy-matter interactions, mass and heat flow, defect generation, and material structure evaluation involved in various additive manufacturing processes.
We are passionate about contributing to the technological advancements driving the next industrial revolution and building a more sustainable world.
