The Taddeo Lab studies the conservation and restoration of ecosystems in working, rapidly changing landscapes. We use a variety of tools and methods — including ecological niche models, remote sensing data, and landscape ecology — to examine patterns of plant diversity at broad scales, identify ecosystem stressors, and inform the conservation and restoration of ecosystems. While we are wetland-enthusiasts, we happily welcome research projects focusing on plant conservation and restoration in other (equally exciting) ecosystems!
The Taddeo Lab is based at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, Illinois. It recruits graduate students via a joint program in Plant Biology and Conservation between the Chicago Botanic Garden and Northwestern University.
