My last night in Paris was spent on top of the Arc de Triomphe which is supposed to offer one of the most beautiful sights in Paris. That night, the elevator going up to the top was broken, so my friend Steph and I had to climb the long flight of stairs all the way to the top. As soon as we reached the roof the cold night breeze instantlly revived our spirits, and as soon as we saw that view we were instanty enamoured. In the horizon you could clearly see the Eiffel tower, Sacre Coeur in Montmartre, Notre Dame, Montparnasse, the Champs Elysees and everything in between. At that moment I felt a sort of sadness looking at the view. I remembered all of the amazing memories I formed in all of these places and all of the people I would leave behind in this incredible city. After we were finished we had an amazing dinner at a restaurant on the Champs Elysees and I knew I had to come back some day. Until then I will remember my time here with love and nostalgia.
