Northwestern '24 Alum Jake Montgomery--Better Known as DJ Monty--Wins First Round of NCPA College DJ Competition
Jake Montgomery has been DJing since joining WNUR during his time at Northwestern. After graduating, Monty entered the highly competitive NCPA College DJ Championship, one of only 16 master mixers. In a Wildcat worthy performance, Monty, the #2 Midwest seed, mixed his way through throwback hits, including Destiny Child’s “Jumpin’ Jumpin'” and Fergie’s “Milkshake.” With this dynamic set, Monty ended up winning the first round of the largest College DJ Competition in history.
